Recycled Papermaking Workshop
My most popular public workshop is now available for private parties of 8! Learn the eco-friendly art of recycled papermaking, with the option of beautiful add-ins like flower petals, seeds, and bio-degradable eucalyptus glitter. Each student will make 4-5 sheets of handmade paper. Includes a complementary take-home packet of written step-by-step instructions, visual print-out of each step and QR code links to my video tutorials, so that you are set up for success when DIYing papermaking at home. Enjoy a workshop in my beautiful Belmont Shore backyard studio. Available Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm, all-included in the price of booking. Nestled under my shaded Tuscan-style pergola, encircled in lush monsteras and the relaxing serenade of copper windchimes, sits a gorgeous reclaimed-redwood studio table that adjusts to multiple heights. Complimentary refreshments of sparkling water and light snacks are provided, with a comfy cushioned seating area that wraps around our workspace. My outdoor handwashing sink is stocked with eco-friendly soap, nail brush, gentle hand lotion & 100% cotton towels to reset after class. My studio is just steps away from boutique shopping and delicious dining— located half a block from Belmont Shore’s bustling 2nd Street! Address and free parking will be provided after booking.
Schedule a workshop at the site of your request, within the City of Long Beach. Available Saturday & Sunday, 10am-4pm. Please select the option “off-site location request” at checkout. This required $200 add-on compensates me for the cost of transportation, workshop set-up, break-down, and clean-up. Selecting your preferred workshop site is a fantastic option for backyard birthday parties, bachelorette parties (make handmade paper for your wedding!), and corporate team-building events. ***Please reach out with information about your site location before booking so I can determine if it is appropriate for our class. Certain locations, like public parks, may require additional permitting for gatherings, that you are responsible for obtaining. In those cases I require proof of permitting for my tax records. Thank you for your understanding & cooperation.
